The wheel landing (on the mains with the tail elevated) can be difficult. The aircraft will tend to bounce back into the air due to springiness of the main gear and/or the dropping of the tail due to momentum on other than very soft touchdowns. I was taught a technique in a Citbria by a very experienced instructor that helped me. With sufficient runway, level off very low, slightly fast, and use aileron to push one main wheel onto the runway. As soon as that wheel is rolling, raise the tail slightly as you lower the other main. The bouncing tendency vanished for me.
