P10 was Chandler Municipal, now CHD. I read somewhere they have to be 3 letters now (ICAO 4 letters) if the airport reports METAR or TAF weather. Sometime in 1999 is when that went into effect. That is why a lot of small airports are changing over. CHD is the IATA code (airline code) for Williams AFB too so that might get changed soon to avoid confusion. FAA code for Williams is IWA but that is assigned in IATA to Ivanova Russia. I'll see if I have an old chart with C2G on it. Btw does anyone know if Johnson County Kansas New Century had a different code before IXD? I flew in there a lot when I was younger and always thought it was JCI. This is the IATA code for it and Air Midwest flew there when I was younger so I could be mistaken. The airport used to be Olathe Naval Air Station so it likely had an Nxx format airport code at one time. Garmin is based there, any Garmin people know the answer to this one?
