 What is a DataChunk?

A DataChunk is a user defined set of airports, navaids, or fixes/waypoints within a 10-300 nautical mile radius of a selected feature or from 10-100 nautical miles either side along a route of flight. The DataChunk can be viewed in Google Earth, formatted for use in electronic navigation devices such as GPS receivers, or formatted and loaded into Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Access database applications.

AeroPlanner.com allows you to specify the radius and type of aeronautical information you need such as airport types, navaid types, and high and/or low altitude fixes or waypoints.

AeroPlanner.com also enables you to choose an output format for the DataChunk. The available formats are:
  • FlightBuddy
  • GPX (EasyGPS)
  • Google Earth
  • Simple
  • Waypoint+
The Simple and Waypoint+ formats are text files that can be loaded into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Microsoft Access database applications. Chart images are not available in any format. If you need route information overlaid on a chart image, use the AeroPlanner.com ZipTick.
