All Premium and Plus subscribers to AeroPlanner.com can participate in the
NOTAM E-Mail Service. Follow the link above to activate the service for your
account. Throughout the day and night, as new NOTAMs occur, Aeroplanner will
forward them to your mailbox. You can disable or enable the service at any time.
These NOTAM types are covered by the service:
- NOTAM D. Information that meets the criteria of this order and requires wide dissemination via telecommunication and pertains to en route navigational aids, civil public-use airports listed in the AFD, facilities, services, and procedures.
- FDC NOTAM. Flight information that is regulatory in nature including, but not limited to, changes to IFR charts, procedures, and airspace usage.
Local NOTAMS (NOTAM L) are not covered by the service.
A subscriber can expect to receive between 5 and 10 emails per day detailing
recent NOTAMS issued by the FAA. This service is great for people who can
receive emails while in flight from such services as
AirCell,
EchoFlight,
or Blackberry,
and for those who would like to get this information on their pagers or cell phones!
To make this possible, an alternate E-Mail address can be specified.
EXAMPLE HTML EMAIL:
NOTAMS can also be sent in simple text format.
DISCLAIMER: The FAA doesn't consider the Internet a reliable means for
getting data to pilots, and for good reason. From the point of issue to your mailbox,
each NOTAM goes through multiple servers and multiple networks, any of which could
experience delays or failures. The AeroPlanner.com Airspace NOTAM E-Mail Service is
intended to give you a "heads-up", if you will, not to take the place of
your FSS. You still need to get a briefing to find out about local NOTAMS and any
special circumstances.

Premium and Plus subscribers can also receive NOTAMS and weather information
about a particular landing facility, or as many as five landing facilities, by sending
e-mail to Airport@aeroplanner.com
with from one to five FAA, ICAO, or DAFIF identifiers in the subject. AeroPlanner
will send an E-mail reply containing the current METAR, TAF, and active NOTAMS for
the facilities, usually within thirty seconds, though it may take longer during peak usage.
